Airports

O'Hare International Airport - 17 miles east and services 2,400 flights daily.  The longest runway is 13,000 feet.

DuPage County Airport - 6 miles southwest and services corporate jets, private aircraft, charter service, freight service, and aircraft storage and maintenance.  The longest runway is 5,100 feet.

Schaumburg Regional Airport - 1 mile east and services private aircraft, charter service, and aircraft storage and maintenance.  The longest runway is 3,800 feet.

Rail

Freight - Soo Line Railroad and the Chicago Central and Pacific Railroad travel through Hanover Park.

The Hanover Park commuter station is one of the busiest on the Northwest line.Passenger - Metra's West line serves Hanover Park with an average daily ridership of 1,455.  The express train to Chicago takes 45 minutes.

The commuter station in Hanover Park is one of the busiest on Metra's Milwaukee District/West line with over 900 daily commuters.  The Village has expanded parking to accommodate 1209 commuters.  A new parking lot will be constructed just west of the current lot along Lake Street at the Hill-Behan Lumber site.  This new lot will add over 200 additional parking spaces and beautiful landscaping along Lake Street.

Conveniently located at the intersection of Lake Street and Barrington/County Farm Roads this is the busiest spot in the Village each weekday morning!  Meter and permit spaces are available for both the occasional and daily commuter.  The cost to park is a competitive $1 per day with discounts available for quarterly (10%) and yearly permits (20%).  Yearly permits must be purchased prior to the start of the year.  Permits are available at the Finance Department or on-line through the E-PAY website. In addition to reasonable rates, the Hanover Park commuter station has the easiest accessibility of any of the local stations.  Whatever direction you are coming from or going home to, there is easy access to Lake Street, County Farm Road, or Ontarioville Road.

A full-service train station offers an array of amenities including a full-time ticket agent, a coffee shop with a variety of refreshments, a cozy indoor waiting area, and spotless washroom facilities!
