Round 12 of the LISC grant program is funded through Verizon’s $10 Million Commitment to small business, and donations which were made during last night's post-Superbowl concert.
LISC is a national nonprofit that invests in affordable housing, economic development, health, education and jobs nationwide. Response time is quick - Applications are due by 11:59 PM on Tuesday February 9, 2021.
Grants will be made in amounts ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 to businesses facing immediate financial pressure because of Covid-19. Funds may be used for:
Payables including rent and utilities
Meeting payroll (to include the applicant)
Paying outstanding debt to vendors
Other immediate operational costs

The application indicates priority for LISC grants will be given especially to entrepreneurs of color, women- and veteran-owned businesses and other enterprises in historically under-served places who don’t have access to flexible, affordable capital. All awardees will have to certify that they are promoting the best interests of the community and are negatively impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. Nonprofit organizations are ineligible for this application.
