All DuPage County businesses are invited to join us this morning at 9:00 AM on a Zoom call with workNet DuPage to learn about customized workforce training programs.
What are your needs? The workNet DuPage Career One-Stop Business Center is your source to build a skilled workforce. Services include recruitment assistance, free job postings, incumbent worker training, apprenticeship programs, interns paid entirely by DuPage County, and on-the job training. All assistance is FREE through federal funding. Programs include financial assistance, including up to $25,000 to upskill current employees, and monthly wage reimbursements of 50%-75% for eligible new hires for up to six months.
Case histories of workNet DuPage clients include a top information technology consulting firm in Downers Grove that leveraged $23,175 to upskill employees and meet workforce challenges in the face of COVID-19. Assistance to manufacturing companies has included:
- Ballco Manufacturing used Calypso CMM and CNC credentialing to upskill workers
- Associated, facing a wave of retirements, leveraged funds for Technician training
- Klein Tools pursued electromechanical and CNC precision machining training
