Hanover Park PD Releases Fourth of July Enforcement Numbers

Hanover Park, Illinois- The Hanover Park Police Department made several arrests and issued more than 50 citations during the Fourth of July “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click it or Ticket” campaigns and took the following enforcement actions:
- 10 DUI arrests
- 31 seat belt/child car seat citations
- 1 arrest for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon
- 17 no valid/suspended/revoked driver’s licenses
- 21 uninsured motorists
- 32 speeding citations
- 12 drug arrests
- 1 warrant arrest
The Hanover Park Police Department joined forces with more than 200 other local law enforcement agencies from June 17 through July 6 to get drunk and drugged drivers off our roads and encourage seat belt use. The effort featured high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities, including a media campaign.
The enforcement period was funded by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation as part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” programs.
