Hanover Park Police Make Armed Robbery Arrests

Hanover Park, IL – The Hanover Park Police Department is pleased to report that an investigation into an armed robbery incident on March 4
th has resulted in the arrest of two individuals. The incident occurred at a business in the 1600 block of Irving Park Road at approximately 8:00 PM. Two masked offenders entered the business armed with handguns and ordered employees to the back room, taking several cell phones prior to fleeing the area on foot. A subsequent investigation led to the identification of two suspects. A search warrant was then executed on a residence in the 1700 block of Bell Ln. in Hanover Park and numerous items of evidence were recovered, including a stolen firearm, several cell phones and I-Pads, ammunition, and a stolen vehicle. Two suspects were taken into custody without incident, and one count of armed robbery was approved by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office for both subjects. The subjects were taken to the Rolling Meadows 3
rd District Courthouse for bond hearings on 3/21, and bond was set as follows:
The first suspect, Pernell L. Veal, 23, of the 1700 block of Bell Lane in Hanover Park, was charged with one count of Armed Robbery with bond set at $20,000D.
The second suspect, Cori Parrott, Jr., 20, of the 1700 block of Bell Lane in Hanover Park was charged with one count of Armed Robbery with bond set at $100,000D. Parrott was also arrested on outstanding warrants from Glendale Heights, IL PD for Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking with a Firearm, bond set at $1,500,000D and a warrant from Racine, WI PD for First Degree Reckless Injury (use of a dangerous weapon)/Armed Robbery with Use of Force with bond set at $50,000.
