Construction Season is Here!

Arlington Drive Bridge Replacement: This week, the contractor paved the bridge and adjacent bike path. After restoration is overall complete, the bridge will be reopened. We are so close! We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.

2026 Street Resurfacing: The contractor began sawcutting concrete removal areas; this work will continue next week. If a resident will lose access to their driveway due to this work, they will receive a notice prior to that happening.

2026 Crack Sealing: On Thursday, crews began crack sealing various streets throughout the Village. Cracksealing involves installing a fiber-asphalt material to cracks in the street. This work is expected to take a few weeks to complete.

Center Avenue Sidewalk: This week, the contractor continued removals on the east side of the street and began pouring the new sidewalk.

Lake Street Multi-Use Path: The contractor began mobilization to the site and concrete removal this week. This project will include daily lane closures along Lake Street from Church Street/Metra Station to Turnberry Drive.

Fiber Installation (Lumos/T-Mobile): Lumos/T-Mobile has several fiber installation projects throughout the Village.  These are not Village-run projects. Any questions or concerns about these projects should be directed to Lumos’s Construction Hotline at 800-905-9017. If you leave your name, address, and phone number, they will follow up within 48 hours.

Fiber Installation (AT&T): AT&T has resumed its fiber installation projects throughout the Village. These are not Village-run projects. Any questions or concerns about these projects should be directed to AT&T’s Construction Hotline at 800-843-6581. If you leave your name, address, and phone number, they will follow up within 48 hours.

If you have any project questions, contact Engineering at 630-823-5700 or visit www.hpil.org/1234/current-projects.

In a cardiac emergency, every minute counts. CPR can double or even triple the chance of survival. Protecting your family, your friends, and your community starts with being prepared. The Hanover Park Fire Department offers CPR training, which includes learning child and adult CPR, how to help a choking victim, and how to operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The next class for the general public is on Saturday, May 16th.
