Projects in Progress

2026 Hydrant Painting Update: The Village’s contractor is scheduled to begin sandblasting, priming, and painting the fire hydrants on Lake Street and in the neighborhoods near Lake Street next week.

Lake Street Multi-Use Path Update: The contractor finished pouring the concrete sections of the path. They also began landscaping restoration. Weather permitting, all concrete and asphalt work will be completed at the end of August. This project will include daily lane closures along Lake Street from Church Street/Metra Station to Turnberry Drive.

Ontarioville Phase II Improvements: The Village’s contractor has started preliminary construction activities (brush clearing, placing silt fence, etc.) in preparation for full construction activities to start on the new gathering space across from the existing Ontarioville plaza. This new gathering area will include interactive features such as a fire place, a light-up swing and musical instruments.

The Village has rescheduled our showing of The Bad Guys 2 for August 28th! Join us for a Summer Sendoff with a movie in the park at Community Park! Refreshments will be available for sale with the movie beginning at dusk! We hope to see you there!
