Showcase Your Business at the Village Business After Hours

People do business with people they know!  Referrals from neighboring businesses are a great source of referrals. Connect with your neighbors by attending the Village of Hanover Park’s Annual Business After Hours.  Join us for New Orleans Style food and music and bring your business cards!  The event is hosted by the Village’s C.O.N.E.C.T. Committee  (the Village's Committee On Networking Education and Community Teamwork) and the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce. 

All local Hanover Park businesses and Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce members are invited to this free networking event.  

Whether or not you can attend, send information on your business and we will showcase your business during the event.  Send us an email with a picture of your business, your logo, address, and a description of your business products and services so we can include you in the scrolling slideshow.

Watch Mayor Craig's State of the Village Address


Mayor Craig's originally scheduled live address to residents, business owners and community leaders was canceled due to the extreme cold that we experienced on the date of the event. 

In this taped broadcast, Mayor Craig highlights the growth and development taking place, as well as, discusses the Village’s financial health, special initiatives, key Village Board actions and strategic plans.

Country Style Donuts is Winner of the Prestigious 2018 Business of the Year

Our Village CONECT Committee has reviewed community nominations and named Country Style Donuts at 1519 Irving Park Rd, the 2018 Business of the Year!  Congratulations to Manan Joshi who opened the Hanover Park Country Style Donuts in February 2018. 

CONECT recognized the improvement of a vacant property, support of local organizations, friendly service, and quality products in this recognition. Country Style Donuts is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and they bake fresh donuts twice a day.  All the donuts are made from scratch in an open kitchen, which provides an opportunity for customers to watch how they are made.

 
The Country Donuts mission is to be a staple in the community. They strive to work with school districts, churches, and to really be a part of the community’s family environment. The company philosophy is “Teamwork” and finding a way to give back to the community. They also hire local, as a way of reinvesting in the community and recruit high school kids for an opportunity build work ethic. They currently employ 12-15 employees - many are from our community.
 
CONECT is the Village's Economic Development Committee.  Members represent our businesses in the community and provide valuable assistance to the Village Board through creative strategies and feedback on business-related regulations. Local businesses are welcome to attend CONECT meetings to learn about ongoing Village activities. Alianza Hispana Named People’s Choice Winner 2018


The people have spoken!  For the second year, Alianza Hispana Inc. at 2023 Irving Park Road has been named the 2018 People’s Choice winner!
 

Congratulations to owner Elia Rodriquez.  Elia is well known in the community and a mentor to others.  In October 2018 she was one of our Panelists at CONECT’s Small Business Forum, speaking on business start-up and expansion strategies.  Elia also serves as a member of the Northwest Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Thank you for all you do for Hanover Park!

The Community and Economic Development Department prepares the "Business Matters" Newsletter as a tool for our local business community to stay in touch with the Village and each other.


The newsletter is electronic only and includes information to help you stay connected to Village news, upcoming networking events, grant or funding opportunities, and other issues of interest for growth and development. The newsletter is also posted on-line on the Village website.
