The Hanover Park Police Department Announces Labor Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Enforcement Numbers

– The Hanover Park Police Department today announced that it made 12 impaired driving arrests and issued 22 seat belt citations during the recent Labor Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” crackdown.
“Through the Labor Day enforcement effort, we helped to make our roads safer and spread the word that preventing impaired driving is a matter of “Life or Death,” said Deputy Chief Terrence Sherrill.
The Hanover Park Police Department joined forces with law enforcement throughout the state for Illinois’ “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign by ramping up its usual enforcement efforts from August 16 through September 3 with the addition of dedicated traffic details. The department arrested 57 illegal drivers and issued 104 citations for speeding.
The Illinois “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” program is administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation with federal dollars managed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
