Hanover Park, IL– The Village of Hanover Park is dedicated to getting a complete count of it’s residents in the 2020 Census. To help get the message out, the village has created a special census logo with the tagline of “Be Counted.” The tagline emphasizes the importance that all Hanover Park residents respond to the census and “Be Counted.”
“We want all of our resident to know it is vital that they be counted. Future funding is at stake for our community. We ask all our residents to support the future of Hanover Park by being counted,” states Mayor Rod Craig.
The new Hanover Park census logo is available in 7 languages to be more inclusive and reach some potentially hard to count segments of the community. “A goal of our “Be Counted” campaign is to create trust with our diverse communities by being inclusive of the many languages spoken in Hanover Park and more importantly to empower them to take action on making themselves be counted in their hometown: Hanover Park,” said Village Clerk Corral Sepúlveda about the concept behind the logo.
“Hanover Park is an incredibly diverse community, so I applaud the work being done to ensure every resident understands the importance of participating in the 2020 Census,” said state Rep. Fred Crespo. “The census is about securing resources for our local schools, roads and other vital services so we must make sure that we are all counted.”
The new census logo will be used on the village’s website, Hi-Lighter monthly newsletter, eNews and social media. The logo will also be an integral part of Hanover Park’s Complete Count Committee as it partners with local trusted leaders from the community to develop and implement a 2020 Census awareness campaign based upon their knowledge of the local community to increase census response rates.
