Permits and Licenses
Additional information about licenses can be found in the Clerk's section.
All dogs and cats must have a Village animal license. Absolutely no tags will be issued without a valid certificate of rabies vaccination from a veterinarian. Animals are not permitted to run at large in the Village. The current fee for a pet license is $5.00 and can be obtained through the Finance Office. Senior citizens (age 65 or older) qualify for a free animal tag. Contact the Finance Department at (630) 823-5600 for further details.
Parking Permits for the Commuter Parking Lot are available through the Finance Department or through the Direct Pay on our website. Application forms are available in our office or at the Police Department. Monthly permits are $30.00. Daily parking is also available. The $1.50 fee must be deposited in one of the meters located on the west wall of the commuter station. Metra riders may also pay for daily parking through our newly implemented smartphone application. Users can get started by downloading the free PassportParking app for iOS or Android devices.
All contractors must register with the Village Clerk prior to doing work in the Village. You may call or come into our office for an application and fee schedule. A license permit bond is required naming the Village with a thirty-day cancellation notice in the amount of $10,000 except for sewer contractors. Sewer contractor bonds must be in the amount of $20,000. The bond must go through our licensing year which ends January 31st of the next year and name the Village of Hanover Park as the Bond Holder. If you desire information on a parking ticket, it will be helpful to know the license plate number of the offending vehicle. This will assist our office in researching the files. You may call (630) 823-5600 during regular business hours.
Vehicle stickers are no longer required.
