Beginning May 1, 2014, the Village of Hanover Park began utilizing an adjudication process for the mediation of all parking and local ordinance tickets. If you are a resident and receive a parking ticket, on the ticket is a hearing date should you wish to be heard in regards to the violation. Hearings are held at the Village Hall, 2121 Lake Street, Room 214. Simply report on the date assigned and check in with the clerk.
If you are a Non-Resident of the Village you may waive your appearance and submit an affidavit stating the facts or reasons for contesting the ticket. These forms may be obtained at the Police Department front desk.
Please be advised if the Adjudicating Judge determines you are liable then a $100 court fee will be assessed on top of the initial fine of the ticket. VEHICLE IMPOUNDS AND RED LIGHT CAMERA VIOLATIONS AT 2PM. ALL OTHER VIOLATIONS ARE SET FOR 2:30PM.

The Hanover Park Development Commission is a public hearing body that makes recommendations to the president and the board of trustees. The Commission utilizes the Village’s Comprehensive Plan recommendations to provide long-term policy direction. It conducts public hearings on all petitions for zoning variations, special uses, planned unit developments, rezonings (zoning map amendments), and text amendments. All meetings are open to the public.

C.O.N.E.C.T. serves as a representation of businesses in the community.
Members provide valuable assistance in growth of economic development through creative strategies and feedback on business-related regulations. Our focus is to encourage business growth and economic development.
Goal of C.O.N.E.C.T. is to serve as a business liaison, support economic development events, help businesses to network with each other and connect with the Village through annual networking opportunities.
Local businesses are welcome to attend C.O.N.E.C.T. meetings to learn about ongoing Village activities. Meeting are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:30 p.m. in Room 214 of the Municipal Building.

The HeartSaver/AED course is designed to teach CPR, the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), and what to do in the event of a choking emergency for victims of all ages. This course is designed for those that are expected to help in the event of an emergency in the workplace. This class is also highly recommended for new parents, babysitters, and anyone that wishes to help in the event of an emergency. This class follows the recommendations set by the American Heart Association.

The purpose of the Historical Committee is to promote educational, cultural, economic and general welfare of the community by ensuring the preservation of structures and properties that represent the cultural heritage of the Village of Hanover Park and of the community prior to the Village's incorporation. Projects include scanning of historic photo's, organizing of historic materials and artifacts and maintenance of two historic cemeteries and documentation of plots, including mapping.

The Community Health & Resource Fair is on Saturday April 25th. The Community Health & Resource Fair will be held at the Hanover Park Park District located at 1919 Walnut Avenue in Hanover Park from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The Community Health & Resource Fair is designed to provide information and resources to youth and families in the Village of Hanover Park. Agencies and organizations dedicated to providing safe, fun activities for youth and families in our community will be exhibiting at the Resource Fair. There will be free giveaways, health screenings, games and activities for children, performances by local student talent groups, demonstrations by various clubs and organizations, and meet-and-greet opportunities with mascots Sparky the Fire Prevention Dog and McGruff the Crime Dog. Prizes will be raffled off – the grand prize is a family pool pass to Seafari Springs Aquatic Center! Raffle tickets can be earned by bringing donations for the food pantry. FREE!
