With the pandemic, WBDC satellite office hours at the Village of Hanover Park, at Village Hall are temporarily suspended, but you can set a meeting with Aisha McBurrows, at no cost, to discuss start-up and business expansion. She can help with Business Plans, sales projections, marketing, access to capital, expansion plans, structuring requests for financing, and more.   3. Economic Development Committee Meetings

    The Economic Development Committee works to create an environment to attract and retain quality commercial and industrial business to the Village in order to encourage economic development, increase local sales and real estate revenues, create new employment opportunities, diversify the local economy, enhance the community's image, all of which will benefit Village residents. Members provide valuable assistance in growth of economic development through creative strategies and feedback on business-related regulations. Our focus is to encourage business growth and economic development. Local businesses are welcome to attend EDC meetings to learn about ongoing Village activities. Meeting are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:30 p.m. in Room 214 of the Municipal Building.   4. Development Commission

    The Hanover Park Development Commission is a public hearing body that makes recommendations to the president and the board of trustees. The Commission utilizes the Village’s Comprehensive Plan recommendations to provide long-term policy direction. It conducts public hearings on all petitions for zoning variations, special uses, planned unit developments, rezonings (zoning map amendments), and text amendments.   6. Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS)

    December 12, 2020, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Training Room

    This course is designed to teach the skills of CPR to victims of all ages (including ventilation with a protective barrier device, the use of an AED, the use of a bag valve mask, and foreign-body airway obstruction). This class is intended for Healthcare professionals that work both in and out of a hospital setting, EMT students, nursing school students, childcare/daycare facility employees and DCFS participants. This class meets the requirements set by the American Heart Association, and is required to maintain most Professional Medical Licenses.

  7. Adjudication Hearing- Parking Tickets and Village Ordinances

    December 15, 2020, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Hanover Park Village Hall

    Beginning May 1, 2014, the Village of Hanover Park began utilizing an adjudication process for the mediation of all parking and local ordinance tickets. If you are a resident and receive a parking ticket, on the ticket is a hearing date should you wish to be heard in regards to the violation. Hearings are held at the Village Hall, 2121 Lake Street, Room 214. Simply report on the date assigned and check in with the clerk. If you are a Non-Resident of the Village you may waive your appearance and submit an affidavit stating the facts or reasons for contesting the ticket. These forms may be obtained at the Police Department front desk. Please be advised if the Adjudicating Judge determines you are liable then a $100 court fee will be assessed on top of the initial fine of the ticket. VEHICLE IMPOUNDS AND RED LIGHT CAMERA VIOLATIONS AT 2PM. ALL OTHER VIOLATIONS ARE SET FOR 2:30PM.

    The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. and continue until the agenda is completed. Regularly scheduled meetings are the first and third Thursday of each month. Online Comment Available for Village Board Meetings During Virtual Meetings. If you would like to comment online at the Town Hall session of the Village Board meeting while the Village Board continues with a virtual meeting format, please submit your comments online at: www.hpil.org/publiccomment The Hanover Park Village Board meetings occur on the first and third Thursday of each month at 7pm. The meetings will be broadcast on Facebook Live so residents can also listen to the audio of the meeting. Once you are on the Hanover Park Facebook page, just wait for the broadcast to begin at 7pm.     December 23, 2020, 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM @ Hanover Park Village Hall

    The purpose of the Historical Committee is to promote educational, cultural, economic and general welfare of the community by ensuring the preservation of structures and properties that represent the cultural heritage of the Village of Hanover Park and of the community prior to the Village's incorporation. Projects include scanning of historic photo's, organizing of historic materials and artifacts and maintenance of two historic cemeteries and documentation of plots, including mapping.
