Water & Sewer Rates
Your monthly water and sewer bill is calculated using separate rates for water usage and sewer treatment based on the Village’s actual cost of providing these services.
Effective January 1, 2015, the water rate is $9.35 per 1,000 gallons. In addition, there is a monthly service charge of $12.50 applied to each account.
Sewer charges vary depending on whether the home is located in Cook County or DuPage County. The rate for Cook County residents is $2.07 for each 1,000 gallons of water used. The rate for DuPage County residents is $5.57 for each 1,000 gallons used. Cook County residents pay an additional sewer charge on their real estate tax bills to the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, while DuPage County residents submit their entire payment to the Village which provides their complete sewer service.
